Practice Playbook
Every winning team has one. It consists of the tried and proven tactics that the team uses to succeed.
It is basically a log of what you do that works. The idea is that if you keep doing what works, your practice will continue to grow. This is how a job develops into a profitable and self-sustaining business.
The Playbook is divided into 11 basic departments of the office, such as the front desk, marketing, billing and collections, etc. When you can, write down what you have noticed to be a successful procedure in a specific practice area. There is a blank checklist in each section just for this purpose.
As you develop your Playbook, keep it simple. We don’t expect you to put together a complete encyclopedia; just a list of the most essential procedures that have helped to grow your practice and keep it healthy.
The most important part of the play book is using it. A beautiful office manual that took 5 months and hundreds of hours to complete does no good if it just collects dust on the shelf.
Therefore, we recommend just keeping a list of the key procedures and referring to them regularly each month.
